Below, we describe some of the best cycling routes in Alcudia:


1. Alcúdia - Puig de Sant Martí


The Puig de Sant Martí is a mountain with two peaks, (the tallest is 266 metres in height), and is located to the south-west of the town.

The route barely covers 12 kilometres, perfect for enjoying mountain biking and for practicing paragliding and hang-gliding.

At its high points, you will be able to take in two large views: a panoramic view of most of the limits of Alcúdia, and the other view is of the two bays, those of Alcúdia and Pollensa.

From the most southerly summit, you will discover magnificent views of Pla de Mallorca and the Albufera de Mallorca, a beautiful natural park that you will be able to include in your cycling itineraries.


2. Albufera de Mallorca Natural Park


The Albufera de Mallorca, is a natural park that you should include in your cycling routes in Alcudia, particularly when you are at the Seaclub Mediterranean Resort.

Its 1650 hectares represent one of the most important island wetlands of the Mediterranean.

Start the route in Porta de Mallorca and you can visit this natural park on the same day, after having cycled around the Puig de Sant Martí.

3. Porta de Mallorca, Costa Nord – Porta de Xara


This is one of the most attractive cycle routes around Alcudia. It starts at the Porta de Mallorca and passes through the north coast.

The north coast and the lower rocky coast will delight you, as will some of the beaches you will see. The route ends at the Porta de Xara.


4. Cami de L’Mort dels Moros


This route begins and ends at the Porta de Xara in Alcúdia. On this route you will travel along some of the paths of the island’s interior which are a little shaded. During the trip you will discover the characteristic Mallorcan garrigues and pine forests.


5. María de la Salut


This is a cycling route of approximately 83 kilometres which passes through the flat landscape in the north-east of Mallorca. On your trip, you will have an incline of up to 412 metres above sea level.

The tour begins in Alcudia and you will travel through the rural localities of Can Picafort, Muro, Llubí, Maria de la Salut, Santa Margarita and Son Serra de Marina. When you reach the furthest point, you will have to return via the same route.

This can be a somewhat demanding route, depending on the cycling pace and the weather conditions during your trip.
