Discover the best spots in Mallorca to snap impressive shots and capture unique sceneries.

We live in a time where a picture is worth more than a thousand words. Phones have become one of our new limbs and social media now mirrors our true self.

When we travel we now feel the need to uncover the most incredible spots in the city we’re visiting to take a top photo and post it up online. You know how it goes: we look for the best sites and most photographed locations on social media platforms like Instagram or Pinterest, both of which are now the main social pools of inspiration.

Mallorca is known for being home to hundreds of beaches and coves, as well as natural viewpoints with spectacular views. At Sea Club Alcudia we know our way around Mallorca pretty well, so who better than us to show you the most photogenic spots on the island?

Captivating beaches

Near the locality of Alcudia you’ll find the beautiful Playa de Muro. Apart from its blue waters and fine sands, it is particularly popular for the light-wooden boardwalk that runs all the way from the beach to the ocean. This spot is gorgeous, and has become one of the best locations to enjoy the sunset and, of course, capture the perfect Mediterranean photo of your holidays on the Balearic Island.

Right on the opposite side of Mallorca you’ll find the Camp de Mar beach, located between the port of Andratx and Paguera. There, you will witness crystal-clear waters, similar to those in the Caribbean. The highlight in this location is the magnificent wooden bridge that goes all the way from the beach to a nearby islet, where you’ll find a typical “chiringuito” bar.

One of the most beautiful beach coves in Mallorca is Cala Pi, located in Llucmajor. It is a narrow beach with golden sand and surrounded by large pine trees. Its privileged location guarantees the best lighting for a top picture anytime of day.

Panoramic views

If you make your way through all of the Serra de Tramuntana, you’ll find multiple viewpoints and old watchtowers dotted across the entire island of Mallorca. These are all situated in top locations that offer the most impressive views.

One of the most popular watchtowers that is open to the public is the famous Torre de ses Animes. You certainly will be impressed, the backdrop here seems to be taken out of a scene from the famous Game of Thrones series. As soon as you head up the stairs to the top half of the tower, you will be gobsmacked by the incredible panoramic views to the Mediterranean Sea. If you own a drone, this is the place to use it. The aerial shots you can take here will fascinate you, no doubt.

Even though it is located on private property, the viewpoint of Es Galliner, in Son Marroig, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful ones on the island. A white Carrara-marble temple is found right at the edge of the cliff. From there, you’ll see the beautiful Sa Foradada from a marvellous angle. The photographs taken from this viewpoint are impressive to say the least, so you’ll soon become the envy of all your friends on social media.

Another great viewpoint is Dic de l’Oest. This one’s very easily accessible since it’s located in Palma, right by the popular Porto Pi Shopping Centre. This viewpoint hosts a lot of people, especially during the summer season, when people love to crowd here to watch the sunset with an ice cream.
