1. Idyllic beaches and unspoilt coves

If there is something the island of Mallorca is known for it is its fantastic beaches with clear waters and fine white sands. There are more than 300 idyllic beaches and unspoilt coves surrounded by nature. Have you heard of Alcudia Bay already? Only 500 metres away from the Sea Club Mediterranean Resort hotel you'll find this incredible, very long beach with crystal clear waters and fine sand.

2. Wonderful climate

The island of Mallorca has a wonderful climate that makes the island the envy of Europe. It doesn't matter when you decide to travel to Mallorca, you'll always find good weather. The average temperature never goes over 18 degrees. In the summer the heat is not excessive and in the winter it isn't very cold. Rain is rare on this island with a magical climate.

3. Serra de Tramuntana

The mountain range in Mallorca is called Serra de Tramuntana, with peaks that are not too high and easy to climb for hiking lovers. The fauna and flora around it, as well as its beauty, got it named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2011. The Sea Club hotel is only 10 kilometres away from Pollença, the village from which you can begin your hike in the mountains.

4. Local cuisine

If you come to Mallorca you can't go back without tasting the local cuisine. The most emblematic products are our Sobrasada, cold meat made out of pig meat. And ensaimadas, baked sweet dough that can be had on its own or with whipped cream or chocolate. You'll find all these products at our restaurant, The Med, where you can taste local products at the "Mallorca corner". Also, don't hesitate to ask at reception about the best hotels on the island.

5. The cultural heritage

Mallorca has many samples of its varied cultural heritage. We find Talaiots, stone blocks from the Talaiotic period which are perfectly preserved. We also have the Palace of Almudaina, from the Islamic era, or the remains of the Roman city of Pollentia, only 2 kilometres away from the Sea Club Mediterranean Resort. Discover more about the roman city in this post.

6. Palma, the capital of culture and leisure

Palma, a city founded by the Romans, is the capital of the island of Mallorca. It offers residents and tourists great cultural sites. The gothic Cathedral stands out, the second largest gothic Cathedral in Europe after the one in Beauvais (France). Also, there are many places for leisure, restaurants, cinemas and discos. The best way to get to Palma is on the bus, only a few metres away from the hotel, or renting a car at the hotel reception.

7. An ideal place for water sports

Mallorca is an ideal place for sailing and water sports. There are emblematic harbours such as the Paseo Marítimo or Port Adriano, with 20,0000 mooring posts. But no doubt, the most beautiful to go for a walk with your partner or family is the Puerto de Alcudia, only 15 minutes away from the Sea Club.
