ENJOY THE SUMMER IN ALCÚDIA

Alcúdia is an ideal place to spend your summer vacations. Celebrations such as concerts, fiestas, exhibitions, bullfights, guided tours of the old town and religious festivities are just some examples of how we can occupy our days and enjoy our holiday in Alcúdia. From SeaClub we encourage you to make a note of the most important dates.

San Pedro Festivities

They take place on the 29th of June. San Pedro is the patron saint of the sailors and in commemoration we can enjoy a naval procession along the bay where the patrons exhibit their decorated boats. The patron comes out of the Església de la Mare de Déu. On the preceding week, cultural activities take place, including traditional fiestas and concerts. The celebrations end with fireworks.

Fiestas for the Virgen María de la Victoria

On the 1st and 2nd of July. The celebration begins at sunset with a race up to the chapel where this festivity takes place. The night begins with "ball de bot" (traditional dancing), after which come concerts by local musicians. A mass takes place in the morning, where chamomile branches are traditionally offered. Then, activities take place all day and into the night, where we can enjoy dancing and music lead by the Mayor dancing the "Jota de la Victoria".

San Jaime

The celebration of San Jaime, the patron saint of Alcúdia, takes place on the 25th of July. The whole week is filled with activities and events people of all ages can attend, from concerts and musicals, exhibitions like the one in the Parish Museum or the San Jaime mass at the parish

Les Llanternes Festivity

It takes place on August 24th and it is aimed at the little ones, who walk around town with lanterns made out of melons and watermelons and sing traditional songs from Mallorca. This is a very special date for us, for it coincides with the arrival of Toby the turtle to the SeaClub Resort
