The beauty of Cape Formentor

THE BEAUTY OF CAPE FORMENTOR

Cape Formentor is one of the most special places on the Balearic Islands. Tourists who choose Mallorca for their holidays love to photograph this spot, the Northernmost point in Mallorca. At its highest, it is 384 metres above sea level and is surrounded by beautiful beaches such as Cala Figuera, Cala Murta or Cala Pi de la Posada. Take the winding road to get there and enjoy the panoramic view. You'll have never seen anything like it.

Along the road, an easy hike to do off season, we can stop and look at the wonderful views from Sa Crueta viewpoint, 232 metres above sea level, Mal Pas viewpoint or the Talaia d'Albercutx watchtower.

Once you get there, paradise... The Formentor lighthouse is 210 metres above sea level, surrounded by beautiful Mediterranean landscapes, so frequent on the island. Although the inside can't be visited, it is a wonderful natural balcony overlooking the cliffs, from which you can enjoy the flora and fauna in the area. From that point you can head towards Cala Formentor, an idyllic cove with lush pine forests, white sand and crystal clear waters which brings you back to the paradise you experienced at the higher point. The cove is an ideal place for snorkelling. Just pick up a pair of flippers and googles and take a look at the wonders the Mediterranean Sea has to offer.
